Report from the Women's Center in Fallujah about the Project and what they did with the money raised from Harvest Aid -- they provided twenty war widows with ewes for milk production, yogurt and cheese.

Report about the relief project for widows in Abu-Grab with the help of  (Mrs. Mary Trotochaud)
Context: In the rural  places of Iraq many families lost their bread winner due to the military operations since March 2003 Most of women of such families are housewives, non educated &have no skills .some of them had experience in taking care of sheep which consider as source of  milk , meat & money.

Summery of the project: K4 IWS got foundation from Mrs. Mary Trotochaud ) with ( 1200$ ) to help Iraqi people affected by occupation & especially farmers family . investigation was done in one of the villages round Baghdad  ( Abu-Grab ) where K4 IWS had branch .   Due to the limited Budget , from  fifty  case registered only ten was chosen depending on poverty scale   , No of children . level of education . all the documents were brought & the society start making deal to buy ten ewe ( female sheep ) with its new born sheep . the total amount for the twenty animals was ( 2000$ ) . the rest of the  amount was cover from the charity budget of the society . all them checked by veterinarian . The widows were invited to the center of the society in Abu-Grab in the prescience of two leaders of the region . they give nomination not to seal the animals unless they receive permission from the society .  they were well known by the leaders . Every widow receive one ewe with its new born sheep . What we are planning for : During coming three months the ewe will continue having milk to feed the sheep . Where the families can get benefit also from the milk to make yogurt & cheese . After that we can check the sheep , if it reach to suitable size we can allow them to seal it & get benefit from its money . the ewe will kept for new pregnancy . The important point is that the widows start helping each others to take care of the animals . sprit of  social helping start again after all suffering &pain .  Hoping we can continue for the others widows .    God please Mrs. .
