The Bodhisattva Altars are inspired by my meditation practice. This series is dedicated to Buddhist bodhisattvas or “saints.”

The Food Altars celebrate the gift of food and
are inspired by Gibson's commitment to local
agriculture and to the growing of much of
her own food.

Work in the Iraq Gallery speaks more overtly about the politics of food and the impact that
the Iraq War has had on the Iraqi people.

Earth Altars and Reliquaries are from a series
of earlier work that incorporates the elements
of diverse natural materials.
